How far does the Renault 5 really go?

Green NCAP, Europe's independent environmental test programme, calculated the range of the 150 hp Renault 5 at about 366 km in mixed driving in the mild season (439 km in town, 302 km on the motorway) and about 212 km in mixed driving in cold winter weather. In ADAC's Ecotest, consumption came out at 17.3 kWh/100 km and range at about 345 km.

The Renault 5 is an efficient car in town; on long motorway trips, however, the 52 kWh battery needs a charging stop every 250–300 km.

Renault charging times

The times are the figures Renault Türkiye gives for 20 °C. A heat pump is standard on all three models; this means cabin heating takes less out of the range in winter.
