Electric buses, minibuses and trucks: models built in Türkiye, batteries and range
Türkiye is one of Europe's leading countries in electric bus production: Karsan, Otokar, BMC, Temsa and Anadolu Isuzu have electric models between 8 and 12 metres; batteries range from 105 kWh to 528 kWh and manufacturer-stated ranges from 260 km to 480 km. In heavy vehicles, Ford Trucks' electric tractor unit, the F-LINE E, is on sale in Türkiye: 314 kWh usable battery and up to 300 km of range.

Short answer
All of Türkiye's bus manufacturers build electric city buses and midibuses, and they export a large share of them to Europe. Karsan, for example, announced that it has more than 2,400 electric vehicles in 28 countries and ranked seventh in the European electric public transport market in the first quarter of 2026 with a 6.9% share.
The ranges below are manufacturer claims; the measurement method (NEDC, SORT or urban) varies by model, and real range differs markedly depending on the route profile, air-conditioning use and occupancy.

Electric buses and midibuses built in Türkiye
The figures are from the manufacturers' Türkiye websites. Temsa announced in October 2025 that it had increased the urban range of the 9-metre electric Avenue Neo to 600 km. Buses are usually charged overnight at the depot via CCS2 or pantograph.

Electric trucks and tractor units
Ford Trucks' Türkiye website has a separate price list for the electric F-LINE E; its top speed is 90 km/h. The Mercedes-Benz eActros and Volvo FH/FM Electric are presented on the Turkish websites, but their sales and delivery status in Türkiye is unclear.
The Megawatt Charging System (MCS) developed for heavy vehicles aims, according to CharIN, for charging at up to 1,250 V and 3,000 A; there are no MCS stations in Türkiye yet, and electric trucks currently charge via CCS2.

- Mercedes-Benz eSprinter: 81 and 113 kWh LFP battery options, 340–478 km WLTP; in May 2026 a minibus version suitable for school transport went on sale at a launch price of 4,010,000 TL.
