Short answer
The residential electricity tariff in force on 3 November 2026 was set by decision No. 14461 of EPDK (Energy Market Regulatory Authority), which took effect on 4 April 2026. On the single-rate tariff including taxes, consumption up to an average of 8 kWh a day costs 3.24 TL per kWh, and anything above that 4.86 TL. The tariff did not change in January, July or October 2026.
On the three-rate tariff, night (22–06) is 3.26 TL, day (06–17) 4.92 TL and peak (17–22) 7.00 TL. For those charging an electric car at home, the night tariff is the cheapest option.
Residential electricity tariff (since 4 April 2026)
The values are for low-voltage residential customers buying electricity from the designated incumbent supplier. The price including taxes is found by adding 5% electricity consumption tax to the energy charge, adding the distribution charge and then applying 10% KDV (VAT). For homes outside municipal boundaries the consumption tax rate is different, so the price may vary slightly.
The tier works on the daily average: on a 30-day bill, the first 240 kWh are charged at the lower tier and the rest at the higher tier. The three-rate tariff has no tiers.
| Band | Energy (kuruş/kWh) | Distribution (kuruş/kWh) | Including taxes (TL/kWh) |

| Single-rate, above 8 kWh a day | 189.58 | 242.49 | 4.86 |
| Three-rate day 06–17 | 195.06 | 242.49 | 4.92 |
| Three-rate peak 17–22 | 374.76 | 242.49 | 7.00 |
| Three-rate night 22–06 | 51.37 | 242.49 | 3.26 |

Electricity price increases: recent changes
The percentages were calculated by Şarj Rehberim from the prices including taxes. The previous tariff table was dated 1 July 2024. The lower-tier price including taxes rose from 2.59 TL in 2025 to 3.24 TL in 2026, and the higher tier from 3.89 TL to 4.86 TL. The lower tier's energy charge has been the same since 2024; the whole increase in this tier comes from the distribution charge.

Annual consumption limit: 4,000 kWh in 2026, 3,000 kWh in 2027
The tariff above applies to homes whose annual consumption stays below the limit for the last resort supply tariff (SKTT). Under EPDK's decision, this limit is 4,000 kWh a year for 2026; a decision published on 31 October 2026 lowered it to 3,000 kWh for 2027. Homes that exceed the limit in the current or the previous year and have no bilateral agreement with their supplier move to the SKTT; since this tariff's price is tied to the market price, it changes every month.

How much does charging a car at home cost?
The calculation is Şarj Rehberim's and uses the 4 April 2026 tariff; the second single-rate scenario was verified with EPDK's bill calculation tool. If the home's lower tier is already used up, night charging saves about 479 TL (33%) a month. But on the three-rate tariff the home's other consumption loses the lower tier and is paid at 4.92 TL during the day and 7.00 TL in the evening; to work out the cheapest option with your own consumption, you can use the calculator in our home charging guide.
| Scenario (300 kWh of charging a month) | Monthly cost |
|---|---|
| Single-rate, all charging at the higher tier | 1,457 TL |
| Single-rate, only the car on the meter (240 kWh lower + 60 kWh higher tier) | 1,069 TL |
| Three-rate, all charging at night 22–06 | 978 TL |
