Short answer

As of November 2026, the electric light commercial vehicles sold in Türkiye are the Ford E-Transit, E-Transit Custom and E-Tourneo Courier, the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo, the Fiat E-Doblo, the Opel Combo Electric and the Nissan Townstar EV. Peugeot, Citroën, Renault and Toyota currently have no electric commercial vehicles on their Türkiye lists.

The tax advantage is large: on panel vans and light trucks with only an electric motor, ÖTV is 4%. In jobs with a fixed daily route, such as urban delivery, an electric van charged overnight at the depot noticeably reduces fuel and maintenance costs.

ÖTV on electric commercial vehicles

The ÖTV rate depends on the vehicle's body type, registration and power. The rates below are those applied to vehicles with only an electric motor in list (II) of ÖTV Law No. 4760:

VAT deduction: commercial or passenger?

Under KDV Law No. 3065, businesses can deduct the KDV on purchases related to their activities; panel vans and light trucks fall within this scope. However, the purchase KDV on passenger cars owned by businesses cannot be deducted, except by those whose activity is renting out or operating passenger cars. That is why there is a big difference, in terms of both ÖTV and KDV, between a combi registered as a passenger car (for example the Opel Combo Electric or the Fiat E-Doblo Panorama) and a panel van with commercial registration. Consult your accountant about your own situation.

Charging times

The times are the figures on the brands' Türkiye pages. In a commercial vehicle, real range depends heavily on load and speed: fully loaded and on the motorway, it falls well below the WLTP figure; in stop-start city driving, on the other hand, it can approach WLTP thanks to regenerative braking.
