EV battery price and battery replacement: Togg, Tesla and warranty terms
Togg has not announced an official price for battery replacement; the amounts reported in the press are one user's claim or estimates of unclear origin. In Tesla's parts catalogue, a new Model Y battery costs 389,573–690,965 TL (excluding labour and VAT). According to BloombergNEF, the average battery pack price in 2025 was 108 dollars per kWh, and 81 dollars for LFP. Most brands give an 8-year warranty; failures that require replacement are rare.

Short answer
An electric car's battery pack is its most expensive part, but if it needs replacing within the warranty period because of capacity loss or a fault, the manufacturer pays. Brands generally do not publish out-of-warranty replacement prices; in Türkiye, the only publicly available data from an official source is Tesla's parts catalogue.

Togg battery price
- Togg has no official battery replacement price; the brand has made no statement on this.
- In March 2026, a T10X owner shared on social media that the authorised service in İstanbul asked 290,000 TL + VAT for the battery and that the warranty was refused on the grounds of scrape marks underneath; Togg's response to this claim was not reported in the press.
- Estimates in the 200,000–450,000 TL range quoted in the press are based on a report of unclear origin; do not rely on them.
- Togg's battery warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km. Togg's website does not say at what capacity threshold the warranty applies; ask in writing.
- On the long-range T10X and T10F, configurator data from mid-2026 shows a switch from the 88.5 kWh NMC battery to an 89.6 kWh LFP battery; Togg did not announce this separately.

Tesla Model Y battery price
The prices were compiled from Tesla's online parts catalogue in September 2025; they are not an official campaign or replacement price announcement and may change with the exchange rate. On the Tesla Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive, the battery warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km with at least 70% capacity.

How much does a battery pack cost per kWh?
According to BloombergNEF, pack prices fell by 8% in 2025; prices in Europe are 56% higher than in China. These figures are the manufacturer's cost; the spare part price at the service centre is much higher once distribution, taxes, labour and profit are added. For example, the cell and pack cost of a 60 kWh LFP pack comes to about 4,900 dollars.

Battery warranties and repair
Batteries are made up of modules, and when there is a fault it is often the faulty module or cells that are replaced rather than the whole pack. Tofaş has announced that it aims to repair out-of-warranty electric cars at cell and module level. In Türkiye, however, the number of competent independent workshops that repair car batteries is still very small.
In the European Union, a digital battery passport will be mandatory for electric car batteries from 18 February 2027; in Türkiye, a draft regulation along the same lines was prepared in December 2025 but has not yet been published.
